Senior Legal Assistant
Rachel began working at the Law Office of Moira E. Tierney in 2006. As a legal assistant she has knowledge of the legal system and procedures. She performs specifically delegated legal tasks to assist the attorneys, including filing motions, drafting subpoenas, and noticing depositions.
Rachel oversees the progress of documents throughout the office, orders transcripts from reporting services, fulfills requests from outside counsel, notarizes documents, manages the office calendar, organizes, indexes, and tracks files, coordinates trial set-up and logistics, communicates with the Probate and Family Courts, and provides administrative support for the attorneys both in court and at the office.
Rachel’s efficiency and knowledge benefit the clients of the office. She is the first face a client sees when they enter the office, and the person who handles most office communication. Because of this, she works closely with each client throughout the course of the litigation. She is sensitive to and understands the unique needs of each case.
Although her job keeps her incredibly busy, Rachel is committed to numerous charity endeavors; and every December, she facilitates the Firm’s Holiday Hope Project where the firm sponsors a family and Rachel coordinates donations, gift purchases, wrapping and delivery of gifts.
